ACCREDITATIONS

Truckcare

Truckcare is the national animal welfare accreditation program coordinated by the Australian Livestock Transporters Association, and endorsed by the RSPCA. In fact Dr Hugh Wirth is a member of the Truckcare committee. We have been in the program since 2004. When accredited by the ALTA, a livestock operator is deemed to have policies, procedures and records in place, certified by an approved quality auditor, to prove the quality of the transport operation in its delivery strategies with specific regard to animal welfare

NHVAS – Maintenance Management.

Boyle's Livestock Transport operate all vehicles under the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Schemes maintenance program which is audited every two years. After being established in 1999, the NHVAS has since evolved as a formal process for recognising operators who have robust safety and other management systems in place. It is also increasingly being used to show compliance with general duty requirements under road transport law.

VLLS

All vehicles comply with the Victorian Livestock Loading Scheme ensuring the customer the maximum comfortable loading capacity in VIC, NSW, SA and QLD. The Scheme was developed in consultation with meat and livestock industry stakeholders, the Local Government and Shires Associations and Transport for VIC Freight and Regional Development Division. The Scheme provides increased mass limits for livestock loads, and includes measures to minimise road pavement wear, protect vulnerable bridges and reduce the incidence of livestock vehicle rollovers

BFM – Basic Fatigue Management

All Boyle's Livestock drivers operated under the BFM system allowing 14 hours maximum working hours in a day. This is your piece of mind knowing that our drivers fatigue is always monitored as we review 100% of all driver work diaries to ensure compliance. The industry requirement is to review 20% of all diaries.

Boyle's Livestock Transport have a 50 page driver’s manual that covers all areas of all accreditation programs and induct all drivers in the use of the manual. We believe it to be at the benchmark of the industry in driver training.
